Intraoral Camera
Our MouthWatch intraoral camera is a handheld device that we can move around your mouth to get crystal clear images and live video of hard-to-see spaces in your oral cavity. These allow us to view small signs of oral health problems that may be initially hidden to the naked eye. The camera is attached to a chairside monitor as well, allowing us to show you the issue and explain how a certain treatment can help fix it. This makes our routine examinations more thorough than ever, making sure that no stone goes left unturned.
Digital X-Rays
In the past, capturing images of the area of your mouth that lies below the gums meant using film X-rays that exposed you to radiation and used harmful chemicals for the environment. Today, we utilize all-digital X-rays that reduce radiation exposure by up to 90 percent, making them safer. They also don’t need to be developed, providing us with nearly instant images that allow us to drastically speed up our examination process.
Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry
Our soft tissue diode laser is a handy gadget that can be used to help treat gum disease, resculpt the gumline for cosmetic purposes, and even improve infants’ ability to maneuver their lips and tongues. No matter the treatment, this laser projects a small beam of light that busts bacteria and effortlessly removes soft tissues without the use of a scalpel or sutures. It cauterizes the area on-contact as well, drastically reducing any recovery time and minimizing bleeding.
